AFB Company Audition

Are you interested in being a part of Arkansas Festival Ballet Performing Company? Good, I was hoping you would say “YES”!

Arkansas Festival Ballet works in partnership with Arkansas Academy of Dance. Academy students are eligible to audition for AFB company.

If you want to dance more now or think you may want to dance forever, this opportunity may be the right one for you.

AFB continues to nurture and guide talents to find the best in themselves. It is not our sole mission to make professional dancers, although some talents choose this path, our direction is to encourage our youth. We are pushing talents to reach new goals. We are encouraging talents to make good choices. We are applauding talents’ ability to balance their schedule to include high academic success with time in the studio. We are reminding talents of the importance of showing humility, compassion, respect and praise to one another. Through AFB performing company opportunities we are encouraging interest in this beautiful art form while developing accomplished youth.

What does being part of performing company mean?  

Being a part of Arkansas Festival Ballet Performing Company offers more opportunities to dancers; including special classes, volunteer opportunities and participation in performances and events. 

What are the benefits?

Dancing in AFBs pre-professional company is a lot of hard work, and also really exciting. If you love the movement, music, learning and performing choreography, getting stronger and more flexible, then let me also mention the benefits from the team work involved, and a built-in friend network. 

What's my obligation?

To make this feasible for busy schedules, dancers and their family can decide to what extent they participate. Chose what suits you and your availability.

Who can audition?

Arkansas Academy of Dance students can audition for Arkansas Festival Ballet Performing Company:

Junior Company is approximate Ages 9-11.

Apprentice & Performing Company is approximate Ages 11-up.

When are auditions?

Age 9-11+

add your name to the sign up sheet in the studio or text Ms. Rebecca and let her know you will audition.
